Carole Townsend is a Georgia author with several books to her name. Her fourth book, Blood in the Soil, earned her the distinction of being named finalist for the 2017 Georgia Author of the Year Award. A newspaper journalist and columnist for nearly twenty years, Townsend brings a keen sense of observation, a love of history, and an engaging flair for storytelling to her writing. She lives in a suburb of Atlanta with her husband Marc, and three well-loved rescue dogs.
